For some of us, a good breakfast would be a slice of toast coupled with our favourite spread. Speaking of spread, any of you here can never get enough of Kaya? We mean, Kaya is perfect to go with just about anything. Steamed bread, toast and even butter crackers. So this is why we are here to share with you this simple recipe on how you can make your own homemade Pandan Kaya spread. Excited? Let’s go!

Homemade Pandan Kaya Spread Recipe Homemade Pandan Kaya SpreadPhoto: @Fazelina Isa (Facebook)Ingredients

1 cup of Pandan juice (blend about 5 pandan leaves)

1 cup sugar (adjust according to your preference)

Coconut milk (1 box, 200g)

1 cup milk

2 tbsp condensed milk

3 tbsp corn starch

1 egg

Salt to taste

A drop of green colouring (optional)

Directions

  1. In a small pot, add in all the ingredients
  2. Turn on the heat and stir the ingredients until they turn shiny
  3. Once they turn shiny, turn off the heat
  4. Can be enjoyed immediately by spreading on a slice of bread, or store in containers
