Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah took the internet by a storm as he was seen dancing with Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh at a wedding ceremony in Chandigarh.
The video of them grooving to the Bollywood song Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche from the 1968 Bollywood film Brahmachari is being widely shared on social media.
Farooq Abdullah attended the wedding of Punjab CM’s granddaughter Seherinder Kaur that took place at his Siswan farmhouse in Chandigarh. Seherinder got married to Delhi-based businessman Aditya Narang on Sunday.
The video was shared last night by the Congress leader Saral Patel and wrote, “This video of Captain Amarinder Singh and Farooq Abdullah proves that age is, indeed, just a number!”

People also appreciated how the two danced and it was refreshing to see this side of the political figures.
Loved the way he cherished each moment of his dancing and enjoyment.
Afterall he’s a human being first and then a politician . #livelifekingsize— Gaurang Upadhyay (@GaurangLuvSurat) March 5, 2021

The two leaders, who share a good rapport, are fond of hosting each other.
After former J&K chief minister and National Conference (NC) chief, Farooq Abdullah was released from house arrest following detention under the Public Safety Act, Amarinder Singh shared a photo of the two and wrote, “Spoke to Farooq Abdullah Ji on phone to welcome him back on his release from long detention and was happy to find him in good cheer. Hope his release is an important step towards an enduring and amicable resolution of the issue.”
