1. THE SHAWL:

The easiest way to wear a scarf! Just drape it around your shoulders and let it hang down on each side in front.

2. THE COWGIRL:

Fold the scarf in half so you have a triangle. With the long side of the triangle facing you, pull the two corners around your neck until the scarf touches your chin. Loosely knot in front.

3. THE CELEB KNOT:

Place the scarf around your neck and drape one end back around. Tie the two scarf corners together in a loose half knot.

4. THE FRENCH KNOT:

Just fold the scarf in half and put it around your shoulders. Take one loose end piece and pull it over and under the scarf loop.

5. DOUBLE LOOP:

Loop the scarf twice around your neck. Take one end over and down through the neck loops and tie the ends together.

BRAIDED HAIRSTYLES FOR WOMEN

1. BUBBLE BRAIDS:

This style is best achieved on long hair with several elastics. Gather a ponytail, secure it with an elastic band, then, tease the rest of the ponytail to make the sections voluminous and pretty.

2. HEADBAND BRAIDS:

Everyone is wearing headbands nowadays, so why not make one out of your own hair? Spice up your casual, loose hairstyle with such a beautiful accent and transform it into a special one.

3. MICRO FRONT BRAIDS:

This style pairs really well with anyone who loves messy waves and has somewhat of a middle part.

4. FRENCH FISHTAIL BRAID:

This is a great boho style for a date night, bridesmaid or party. As a rule, hairstyles for medium hair in the shape of a wreath are pretty versatile.

5. WATERFALL BRAID:

Braided tightly, all the way around the top of your head, it will grace your hair like a crown while also adding a playful twist to your style.

6. BRAIDED CROWN:

This is a great style to wear to a party or romantic date! To make this style last all day, use a generous blast of hairspray, and add a handful more bobby pins.

My New Collection with Amazon is LIVE!

Today is the day!

My collection with The Drop just launched and will be live for the next 30 hours.

Yes, you heard that right. Just 30 hours!

I couldn’t be any more excited to share these pieces we’ve worked so hard on. I put extra love and thought into designing pieces that I felt truly represented my closet and pieces I thought would fit seamless into yours too.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Drop, here’s how it works.

You have 30 hours {really emphasizing this ha!} to shop the collection featuring 8 pieces I’ve designed for Amazon. The collection just went live and you will be able to shop until tomorrow 4/7 at 3pm PST.

Here’s an inside look into my favorite ways to style these versatile pieces and the little details I am just in love with.

The Striped Button Down

This is probably my favorite piece. I love everything about this top. The high-low cut, the stripes, the fabric. I can’t wait to wear this now and all summer long. Once it heats up, this will be so cute over a swimsuit, and it’s perfect right now to layer underneath pretty much anything. I would take a size XS.

The Floral Midi Dress

I wanted something super feminine in this collection and this dress is definitely it. I love a dress that can be easily thrown on and look put together all on its own. I will definitely be pairing this with sandals or a cool pair of sneakers or if your climate hasn’t started to heat up yet, then I’d wear over the knee boots or booties with a leather jacket over. I am wearing an XS.

The Black Blazer

It was very important to me that this blazer had exactly the right details. The sleeves needed to be scrunchable, the cut needed to be perfect to wear on its own or over a top, and it needed to have buttons in all the right places. And boy oh boy am I happy with how it came out. I am wearing an XS in the photos.

The White Button Down

You know I’m the biggest sucker for the perfect crisp white top. I am absolutely obsessed with the feminine details in this one and the cut is just perfect. If this isn’t the epitome of a closet staple, I don’t know what is!

The Little Black Dress

Here’s another piece that’s ideal for layering. I love that this dress can be worn professionally or out to drinks. It’s the perfect example of a day-to-night piece. It’s great on its own or over either of the button down shirts in this collection. Get creative!

The Floral Top

I fell so in love with the floral print from the midi dress, that we just had to make it into a second piece in the collection. I really do think this is the perfect summer top. With its slightly puffy sleeves and pretty neckline, this top will look so good paired with just about any denim.

The Drop Waist Dress

Another black dress? Yes ma’am! This one brings a completely different vibe but I love it just the same. You know I am a true sucker for a drop waist dress. I just think they are adorable and so flattering.

The White Tank

Can you have a complete collection without a simple white tank? I think not. This one is basic enough to be worn with anything {seriously anything!}, plus it has the sweetest cut and bow in the back for a little extra something-something.

What’s your favorite piece from the collection? Cannot wait to hear what you think and see the way you all style the pieces!

xoxo jacey

WINTER HAIR CARE TIPS FOR WOMEN

1. OIL YOUR HAIR REGULARLY:

Apply nourishing hair oil at the ends daily to help replenish moisture and protect your hair. Choose a lightweight leave-in formula with argon oil to instantly revitalize dry, damaged hair.

2. USE HAIR MASKS:

Weekly hair masks can make a significant difference when it comes to dry, damaged hair. Hair masks offer benefits like softening, hydrating and adding shine.

3. AVOID HAIR WASHES:

Over-washing your hair will strip it of natural oils that help to keep hair moisturized and protected. This is especially bad in the winter when those oils are much needed.

4. AVOID HOT SHOWERS:

Hot water can zap moisture from your hair making it brittle and more vulnerable to breaking. Wash your hair with lukewarm water and follow with a cool rinse.

5. COVER YOUR HAIR:

It is important to cover your hair during the winter months from rains, wind, snow as they make your hair drier which results into more breakage and damage.

SUMMER HAIR CARE TIPS FOR WOMEN

1. USE A MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER:

Due to sweat and grime, there is an increase in the number of times, that women wash their hair. So, it is very necessary that they use proper moisturizing shampoos and deep condition their hair in such a dry climate.

2. AVOID HEATING TOOLS:

Avoid blow dries, flat irons and curling irons in summers. Give your hair a break from these tools atleast thrice a week to avoid dryness.

3. OUTWIT FRIZZ:

Hair that’s healthy and well-maintained is your best defence against frizz. Along with regular trims and conditioning, a drop or two of an anti-frizz oil or serum can help smooth hair and add shine.

4. PROTECT YOUR HAIR FROM SUN:

Make a daily habit of applying a hair care product that contains UV filters .  If you’ll be spending lots of time outdoors, wear a wide-brimmed hat or a scarf to protect your scalp and hair.

5. TRIM YOUR HAIR:

Hair really does grow faster in the summer. That’s because there are more hairs in the anagen, or growing, stage. This increase split ends and ultimately damage your hair.

A Spring Compilation – What to Wear with Purple

W

What to wear with purple. Building color stories and creating pairings that highlight the beauty of lavender!

Purple, violet, lavender… in color therapy, these colors have a calming effect.  Embracing the calmness of purple and carrying this over to fashion, pairing purple with certain colors can create a delicate yet impactful outfit.  Today, we’re playing with lavender and sapphire, earth tones, and pastel color combinations.

Lavender with shades of sapphire.  Soft purple with blue is a beautiful color story that blends harmoniously together and creates quite an impact.  With these two colors, I love adding texture like lace and suede to add depth and interest to this delicate color palette.

With an all-purple palette, I love incorporating movement and grounding the outfit with a neutral color such as chestnut.  A fluttery blouse paired with leg-lengthening pleated pants gives this look a relaxed and airy feel.

Another example of purple with chestnut.  Unlike black, brown tones reinforce the delicacy and lightness of purple by creating a soft blend rather than a stark contrast (the way black and purple does).  Chestnut tones add earthiness and ground lavender hues, making the color combination approachable and easy to wear.

Last but not least, a pastel combination of lavender and mint.  I love this color pairing!  It’s fresh, soft and joyful.  Keeping these two colors as the main color story, I look to neutral colors such as beige, nude, or brown to complete the look.  Nude, beige, or tan boots.  And same with a bag.  Accessories that would not take away from the principle color palette.

As always, thank you so much for reading!

WINTER SKIN CARE TIPS FOR WOMEN

1. USE LUKE WARM WATER

Hot showers are tempting but avoid them if you love your skin. Hot showers dry your skin quickly, instead use Luke warm water to shower and wash your face.

2. HYDRATION

Be it inside your home or outside, the air is drier in winter. And as a result, water evaporates from your body easily. Hence, you need to keep your skin hydrated.

3. EXFOLIATE

You have to be careful during winters because your skin barrier is already compromised due to the dry and cold weather. Exfoliating your skin once a week is fine.

4. MOISTURISE

Switch to an oil-based moisturiser in the winter. Moisturise  particularly dry areas like hands feet elbows knees and lips. Cover with cotton gloves and socks to hold the moisture in all night long.

5. SUNSCREEN

You need to protect your skin from the cold wind or snow or rain if you are stepping out in winter. The warm sun rays feel pleasant, but the UV rays can still damage your skin a lot.
