  • The fish comes out succulent.

While this heavily Greek based, there’s no flavor that stands out, rather a smooth melody of all of our favorite Mediterranean flavors combined.

If you need something impressive and easy to serve your company, pick my baked salmon recipe.

One pan, all ingredients go in together and after 20 minutes in the oven, you’re all good to go – finish your baked salmon fillets off with a drizzle of the BEST honey Greek salad dressing.

We drizzle the sauce on top of the already cooked fish so that it gets absorbed better.

The hot fish allows the dressing to permeate in and become fully infused so that you taste a bit of garlic, lemon, oregano, mint, feta, olives, and olive oil with EVERY single BITE of salmon!

MAKE BAKED SALMON RECIPE

Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F. It is very important to put the salmon directly into a preheated oven for the best results. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, and olive oil. If you do not have olive oil you could get away with using melted butter.

Drizzle a ramekin or small casserole dish with a teaspoon of olive oil and arrange some lemon slices, sliced or minced garlic, and fresh thyme sprigs on the bottom. I prefer fresh herbs for this application because they add so much more character to the dish.

Place the salmon fillets on top and add some tomatoes and olives.

HOW TO BAKE SALMON  How Long to Bake Salmon

Place a piece of salmon in each ramekin with the salmon skin facing down, or spread them out on a baking sheet and bake the fillets for a full baking time of fifteen minutes to twenty minutes (depending on the size of your fillets).

You can tell that the salmon is cooked when it is firm to the touch when you press the center. A ramekin is a shallow small bowl used for individual servings.

How long to bake Salmon at 425 degrees?

Our recipe calls for a 475º oven, so if you want to bake the salmon at 425º you might have to lengthen the baking time appropriately. It depends on how well done you want your salmon.

FLAVORING THE OVEN BAKED SALMON

Remove the baked salmon from the oven and drizzle with Honey Greek Salad Dressing while it’s still piping hot. You might also like to serve the salmon with a half lemon on the side of each ramekin so that lemon juice can be added as desired.

GREEK SALAD TOMATOES

Let’s talk for a second about the fancy-looking salad in tomato cups. This is the perfect side dish to serve with your baked salmon. The photos will best show you how simple they come together. Start by slicing off the top of the tomato, then run a knife around the tomato ligaments inside.

With a small metal spoon scoop out the flesh. It will resist a little bit at the bottom of the tomato where the ligaments are still attached to the base, so just use your spoon to disconnect that and scoop out everything.

GREEK DRESSING

In a separate bowl, prepare your Salad and Honey Greek Salad Dressing with 2 tablespoons extra of fresh chopped mint added in. The mint is the perfect complement for the salmon flavor.

Ingredients For the Greek Dressing

  • 1 large clove of garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons of Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons of Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon of Dried Oregano Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon of Fresh Oregano Leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of White Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/3 Cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • Pinch of Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons of Crumbled Feta
  • 2 Tablespoon of Minced Kalamata OlivesOnce you have the dressing ingredients all stirred together, you are ready to assemble your tomato salads! Toss the dressing with the salad.

Ingredients for Greek Salad

  • Olives
  • Feta
  • Mixed Greens
  • Red Onion
  • Lemon Slices
  • Cucumber
  • Honey Greek Salad Dressing

Fill each tomato with 1/4 cup of the dressed-up salad and put the cap on top.

This is just a sweet way of serving salads and I find it works fabulously for parties or just everyday dinners and adds that touch of sophistication we sometimes look for.

TIPS FOR BAKING SALMON

  • Start off with preheating the oven.
  • A high oven ensures the salmon gets a nice golden color at first, you may later drop the tempertaure 10 minutes into baking.
  • Bake the salmon in individual plates or a large dish.
  • Flavor the salmon lightly before baking but make sure you drizzle the dressing after baking.
  • Check the salmon for doneness by pressing a finger gently into the middle. The fish should feel firm.
  • Make sure to drizzle the baked salmon with the Greek Dressing as soon as it comes out of the oven to allow for full flavor absorption.
  • Serve this easy baked salmon with Greek salad for the lightest possible dinner option or with a light quick pasta like this 10 min Greek cheese tortellini, a simple rice side dish, a loaf of crunchy bread to mop up the juices, or maybe these best herb roast potatoes?
